Xpress™ Communication Is an API-Driven Fax and Other Envisioned Inbound and Outbound Communication Management System

Xpress™ Communication automatically triggers for outbound faxes (other) to reduce manual labor, increase quality, and reduce turnaround times (TAT). It can track reasons for failure and provide a path to resending. It has a new web-based UI to manage inventory, status, and volume. Communication API can be a significant boost to productivity and savings for hospitals, providers, and states participating in the Rural Health Transformation Program. We offer HIPAA-compliant encryption, audit trails, and a centralized dashboard for real-time tracking. There is also inbound automation to manage all communication and route to Monument Case Intake or Prior Auth modules.

OCR and NLP for Data Extraction

Xpress™ Communication is a modern fax API that includes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert faxed documents into digital text and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand clinical or claims context. This reduces manual indexing and enables automation of prior authorizations, claims, or referrals.

Stay Secure and Compliant
from Day One

Xpress™ Communication supports end-to-end encryption, access controls, and audit logs to protect PHI (Protected Health Information). Unlike traditional fax lines, our API provides traceability and security that align with HIPAA and HITRUST standards providing a secure, HIPAA-Compliant transmission. By minimizing manual errors (e.g., typos, lost faxes, incomplete submissions) and standardizing data capture, our fax API helps ensure requests are submitted cleanly the first time, lowering denial rates and speeding up approvals.

“We have grown from about 450 members to over 25k in two years, so we needed the right systems and partner to keep up with our exciting growth! Meaningful change in health care starts with trusted relationships—collaborators who share your urgency and deliver with reliability. That’s Ken Stockman and the team at Monument Systems. They have automated many areas for us, including faxes, prior authorization, claims, MA enrollment and member services. With BPO and AI, they have delivered significant process improvements and savings, and we're receiving reports at a detail that we have not had before. When we share problems or feedback on improving the products, the results we get impact our bottom line. That's a true partnership.”

Streamline Prior Authorizations

Faxes are critical to the Prior Authorization process. Reduce intake time, prevent misrouting, and eliminate duplicate work by replacing manual faxing with a digital fax API. Every fax becomes structured, searchable, and seamlessly integrated with EHR and provider systems.

Bi-Directional Integration with
EHRs and Payer Systems

Xpress™ Communication flows directly into provider EHR workflows and payer intake systems. This ensures that clinical documents are available where staff already work, eliminating the need to check standalone fax inboxes.

Intelligent Routing and Workflow
Automation

Our advanced Communication API can automatically detect document type, patient, and provider details, then route them to the right queue or team. This reduces misrouted faxes and accelerates turnaround times for clinical and administrative processes.
